2015 Etsy shop open!

Oh hi, whoever come across my old school blog.

Just checked my last post was in 2012, we are all busy on social media. I am on instagram (@wpyjess) and Tumblr (wpyjess) almost once in 3 -4 hours! 

I am going to update the blog with this brand new exciting project of mine: finally got an online shop (Etsy), I have been procrastinating for almost 3 years with a full time demanding job, working as a display & graphic supervisor at a high street brand. You simply have no time and strength to work on anything else. All you desire to do after work is eat/ watch telly & sleep. 

In 2015 (beginning of this year!) I decided that I want to have my own brand, nothing to ambitious, just being able to make clothes I love, embroidery on garments, leather pouch, leather tote bag and draw more.

First post in 6 months

Haven't updated the blog for almost half a year...been too long! I have't got a chance to draw since I have started my new job. Started a self portrait but unfinished, given up on the cosmic painting because it bored me...perhaps upload work pictures of the mannequin outfits, that's even more boring...thought what could motivate me to draw?  Then, I came up with an idea of draw to record the groups of mannie I did at work, at least I can play with the girl's face and pose. So here it goes, the first post of summer outfits - lagoon, sunshine and blueberry.

Point Omega

I had a wonderful encounter during my stay at home for this Chinese New Year, have met my second favourite book Point Omega by Don Delillo. Although I did not finished it yet and did not understand throughly, but I was very intrigued by the book, found inner peace. I am going to re-read it soon..
I really like one passage and it sounds like - The true life is not reducible to words spoken or written, not by anyone, ever. The true life takes place when we're alone, thinking, feeling, lost in memory, dreamingly self - aware, the submicroscopic moments.

I have taken a new challenge after Christmas, always have fear of fabric work, but I thought why not just give it a try ? It was inspired by other fabric illustrations around, they have intrigued me deeply, sometimes I wanted to wear a skirt or a tote bag with all these handmade images on them. So I thought maybe I should make my own, and found out I really enjoyed the process, I stitched with great joy and satisfaction. I have made a handy size of tote bag as an experiment, picking all favourite colors coral pink, noble green, deep red...and took my mum's buttons from her 'treasure', the three line on the bag was taken from the last passage of my little writing (have a habit of writing a little when I was in the mood..) Wish to do more and more of this !

I want to do a painting to dedicate my love to tea, different tea taste like different people.

It is very interesting when I tried to list out particular tea which would match certain people.

Almost like a combination of elements from different friends, memories. I think I like that fellowon the lower right corner the most, she is a bit like myself ha ha.

At the dinning table is a painting about humanity, I am not a fan of fur but haven't reach the 

extreme of protesting it. It is just funny when I look at those fashionable gals/guys wearing fur and bounce around on the street. The painting features two trendy youngster enjoying a meal of some animals which are raise as cute pets, I used fairly tale colors to divert the attention of the cruel act towards the animals, like how people don't care about what is around them nowadays.

Aim 6 paintings in 3 months.

No update for almost a month, was working for the whole Christmas month. My new goal - 6 painting in 3 months, have done two already, four more to go ! Wooohooo

Trapped in thoughts - another dimension

Took me more than 4 months to finish this painting, phewww. It is about the relationship between human being and spaces. I started this painting while I was trapped in my own thoughts all the time, as well as memories. I felt relief : finished the unfinished in the past, it's done.

Went to Edinburgh for a week with family,
had lots of family fun, also some non-sense doodling fun.. hahaha enjoy!
